Youth Ministry in our Archdiocese is the name we give to all those actions by which the Christian Community, animated by the Holy Spirit, empowers the young to advance towards fullness of life through the ever changing concrete life-situations and thus contribute to building up in the world, God’s reign, proclaimed and manifested in and by Jesus Christ.

service

Objective: Formation unto Christ by Christian vision, Christian attitude and Christian
Character
A PROFILE OF OUR YOUTH PASTORAL
Ø Our Youth Pastoral is a four dimensional ministry: To the young, by the young, For the young and with the young
Ø Ours is a service rooted in relationships. We are dealing with persons. Persons are ‘persons’ precisely because they are capable of relationships which make or break our society and church
Ø For us Youth Ministry is primarily a ministry of relationships through activities
Ø We strive to make ourselves loved by the young
Ø We let them know and experience our love for them
Ø We focus on the ‘person of the young’
Ø We believe in loving the person for what he/she IS and not for what he/she DOES or CAN DO or OUGHT TO DO
Ø We accompany the young in their journey and do not drop them on the way
Ø We move ahead with a plan
