Vision & Mission
Anti Drug Movement was launched in the Archdiocese of Thalassery by the late Bishop Mar Sebastian Valloppilly in 1978. Fr. Thomas Thythottam was appointed as the Director.
The vision behind it was to prevent people from Alcoholism and Drug addiction which destroy the mental and physical health and wealth and the moral in integrity of the people and the family especially the poor section of the society.
The mission of the movement is to give awareness to the people about the evil effects of alcohol and drugs irrespective of cost, creed and age. It also aims at pressuring the government to check or to prohibit the supply of beverages in the state.

130 units of the organization functioning in different parishes in the Archdiocese .The organization is having unit, forane and archdiocesan level committees to guide and lead the activities of the organization.
2 Anti Drug Student-Union –ADSU
ADSU in a student Organization functioning in government and non government school in (school under the management of the Archdiocese). The organization has it own bylaw, flag and identity card. It is functioning in 120 school with a strength of 10,000 members. There are committees at different levels to govern the organization.
3. Pratheeksha –De addtion cum Rehabilitation Centre

Pratheeksha is a treatment centre for alcohol and drug addicts started in 1983. For this past 23 years we have treated about 7000 addicts free all over Kerala, Karnataka and Maharashtra. 15 staff is now working in this centre. Fr. Thomas Thythottam is the founder Director of Pratheeksha . It is the only Centre of this kind in north Malabar. Free treatment is given and the treatment last for 30 days.
4. Santhigramme
It is a Project started in 2000. Santhigramme aims at forming a number of drug free villages every year through intensive anti drug campaign. Pratheeksha staff and a group of dedicated nuns are accomplishing this task successfully with the assistance of village social workers.
Programmes:
1. Give awareness to people irrespective of age, cast and creed about the evil effects of alcohol and through seminar, public meetings rallies, cultural programmes, Art competitions, fasting agitations, Dharnas, addicts prayer gathering (4Days) Poster Campaigns. Home visits of addicts, prayer meeting, distribute of educative material, exhibits fil is show elect.
2. Conducting alcoholic and Drug counseling.
3 Conducting alcoholic and Drug survey in villages and find out addicts and bring them to Pratheeksha for treatment.
4 AA group
5 Conduct seminars, art and literary competitions, cultural Programmes for students.
